Advancing Our Agenda
Education & Outreach
Currently, in cooperation with case management interns from SIU Edwardsville who are working with TOCO, we are developing a curriculum of life skills, much of which will be consumer education. We hope that by teaching clients in poverty to stretch what little they receive a month that we can either prevent people from becoming homeless or returning to the streets.
Community Development
This will be a long term goal as we seek to find answers to the causes that keep many people in the area stuck in systemic poverty.

Beacon Ministry holds as a central core value the idea that many working together can accomplish more than the same number of people working separately.
