I'm sure I'll forget someone and if so, I apologize in advance! It's taken us this long to figure out just HOW successful the Trivia Night on the 29th was, but at last count we brought in about $2200 after expenses! WELL DONE!
So in the spirit of the Oscar theme of the trivia night:
I'd like to thank the academy and all those who made this possible:
From the Belleville Interfaith Food Pantry who served as judges:
Nadine Mayville, Sarah Grady, and Bethany Thilmont;
From the Girl Scout troop at St. Mark's Lutheran:
Anna Robeson, Madalyn Reichling, Stephanie Thilmont, and Jewlz Reed;
Ed and Judy running the bar;
Bruce and Debbie Jovaag for MC'ing the event and preparing those artful Power Point slides;
and the volunteers who gave of their time and a whole LOT of energy to make it happen:
Sherri Foppe, Mark Walz, Connie Stiehl, Laurie Brown, Eileen Hoag, Debbie Townsend,
(I can hear the music starting up, just give me a few secs to finish the acceptance speech...), Kathy and Brad Bellmann, and finally my wife Melinda Stidham and Barbara Hoercher for coordinating the planning and logistics. Thank you!

Ray Holden, one of our board members, passed away July 25 after a lengthy illness.
After 30 years in the Air Force, Ray retired in 1992 and went into real estate as co-owner of RE/MAX Preferred.
He served on the O’Fallon Planning Commission, the Friends of Scott group, which was instrumental in establishing an Air Force Junior ROTC at O’Fallon Township High School, served as chair of the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce Scott AFB Military Affairs Committee, and served as an O’Fallon Alderman for Ward 6. He volunteered and served on the Board of Directors for Beacon Ministries, served on the Salvation Army advisory board, and was a member of Rotary.
He leaves a legacy of community service and will be missed.
